早期的近代工商人物研究十分薄弱,往往被简单笼统地化约为资产阶级研究的范畴,不太注重各类工商人物的多样性与复杂性,由此造成研究视野狭窄单一等诸多缺陷。现今近代史学界对资产阶级这一概念的运用明显减少,取而代之的是工商界、工商业者、商人等。这种概念名称的变化不是对阶级分析方法的否定,而是体现了相关研究的新趋向,也推出了一批新研究成果。揭示其多样性与复杂性,是今后进一步深化工商人物研究的着力点,对其他各界人物研究的拓展也不乏借鉴意义。

The research on early modern industrial and commercial figures was rather weak,and was simply and generally categorized as research on bourgeoisie,which made it impossible to pay attention to the diversity and complexity of various industrial and commercial figures,resulting in many research defects such as narrow and simplistic research horizons.Nowadays the usage of the concept of bourgeoisie has been significantly reduced among historians of modern Chinese history,this concept has been replaced by terms like industrial and commercial circles,industrialist and merchant,businessman and so on.This change in concept and name reflects the new trend of related research and a number of new research results have been launched.Revealing its diversity and complexity is the focus of further deepening future study of industrial and commercial figures and it provides reference for the expansion of research on figures from other walks of life.
