摘要
The phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)is a 15-carbon molecule that fulfills essential functions in all plants.It regulates many as-pects of plant life,including growth and development,seed dormancy and germination,leaf senescence,and responses to various biotic and abiotic stresses(Finkelstein 2013).Due to the latter functions,ABA is also known as the"stress phytohormone."As in the case of other hormones,the level of ABA in the cells is critical for its precise regulatory functioning.
