An Analysis of Artistic Language Processing Strategies in English Literature Translation from the Perspective of Aesthetics

“互联网+”信息技术推动全球跨文化交际发展成为常态,英语文学翻译成为此常态中的重要活动和载体,能够同时彰显英语和汉语的美学价值。以此为背景,分析英语文学翻译中艺术语言的特征,包括语言意象性、生动性、情感性和陌生化等较为突出的特征,据此提出处理英语文学翻译艺术语言可以采取的策略,秉持兼顾原文、译文和读者等相关主体的出发点和落脚点,力求翻译艺术语言能够准确传达原文意象、译文背景、译文内涵以及读者思维等。

“Internet Plus” information technology has promoted global cross-cultural communication?s becoming the norm and English literature translation one of its important activities and carriers that can demonstrate the aesthetic value of English and Chinese at the same time. In this context, the paper analyzes the characteristics of the artistic language in English literature translation including the prominent features such as imagery, vividness, affectivity and defamiliarization, and accordingly proposes strategies that can be adopted to deal with the artistic language in English literature translation and can take into account of relevant subjects such as the original text, the target text and the reader so as to accurately convey the images in the original text, the background and the connotation of the target text and the readers’ thinking.
