The Application of Memphis Style in Graphic Design

现代平面设计坐拥信息化社会的技术成果,与工业时代相比有着脱胎换骨的转变,这种转变包含着内容延展和形式创新两个方面。二战以后,崛起于70年代后期的孟菲斯风格,在后现代主义开辟出的新环境下,以丰富的作品引出前卫的设计理念,为设计的天空填上跳脱的色彩。本文试图从平面设计的角度探讨有关孟菲斯风格的形式语言。

Modern graphic design sits on the technological achievements of the information society.Compared with the industrial age,modern graphic design has undergone a radical transformation.This transformation includes content extension and form innovation.After World War II,the Memphis style that emerged in the late 1970s,in a new environment opened up by postmodernism,used a wealth of works to elicit avant-garde design concepts,and fill the design sky with free colors.This article attempts to explore the formal language of Memphis style from the perspective of graphic design.
