路遥《平凡的世界》简论

A Study on Lu Yao's Novel The Ordinary World

《人生》和《平凡的世界》是体现路遥创作个性的两部代表作。前者写出了一个时代的深刻命题———一个有才华的有志青年与其所处的现实环境有难以调和的巨大冲突。后者则试图解决这种冲突,给人生的矛盾寻求一个解决办法。孙少安和孙少平是《平凡的世界》中两个重要的代表人物。孙少安是一个土生土长、脚踏实地的新一代农民形象;孙少平则是一个有知识和抱负的农村青年形象。但后者的结尾却违反了这个人物的性格逻辑,显示了路遥本人的某种局限性。总体说来,路遥的作品具有深刻的文学价值,表现了文学的时代性和永恒性。

Lu Yao's two representative novels'The Life and'The Ordinary World present his distinct featuresin writing.'The former novel displays the theme of an era—the conflicts between a lalented aspiring young manand his living environment.The latter tries to reduce this conflict and seek a solution to solve the problems inlife.Sun Shaoan and Sun Shaoping are two main figures in the novel The Ordinary World.Sun Shaoan is a native and down-to-earth farmer of the new generation;while his youmger brother Sun Shaoping is a rural youngman with knowledge and ambition.However,in the last few chapters,Lu Yao surprisingly violates his role image of Sun Shaoping,which could be due to some limitations of the author himself.On the whole,Lu Yao'sworks have profound literary value,which reveals the temporal and eternal character of literature.
