近期出现的吴大澂致高崇基信札,并未引起学界的足够重视。这些信札作于光绪十三年至十四年吴大澂任广东巡抚期间;内容主要涉及调和同僚之间的分歧,广东地区州县官员的选任,税关釐金的抽取与押送,书院监院的选择等事宜。这些信札,对研究光绪中叶广东地区的日常政务运作与人事变动,对研究晚清督抚在官员任职中的话语权,对补充吴大澂与高崇基的相关研究,均有一定的价值。

The recently discovered letters written by Wu Dacheng to Gao Chongji have not attracted enough attention from the academic circles.These letters were written during Wu Dacheng’s tenure as governor of Guangdong from 1887 to 1888.The content of these letters mainly involved reconciling differences between colleagues,the selection and appointment of county magistrates in Guangdong Province,the collection and submission of taxes to the central government,and the selection of the person in charge of the academy,etc.These letters are very helpful for studying the daily government operations and personnel changes in Guangdong in 1880s,studying the voice of local governors in the selection of county magistrates in the late Qing Dynasty,and the supplement of the contents of Wu Dacheng and Gao Chongji’s related research.
