英汉科技论文报道动词的对比及互译

Contrastive Study of Reporting Verbs in English and Chinese Sci-Tech Articles and Implications for Translation

本文运用对比修辞理论,对英汉科技论文中的报道动词从分布情况和使用类型的角度进行对比研究。研究结果表明:英语论文作者使用篇章动词较多,而汉语作者使用心理动词略多。英语作者倾向使用积极动词和消极动词,而汉语作者倾向使用中性动词。最后,通过英汉科技论文报道动词的对比研究结果,总结几点报道动词互译策略。

This paper uses the theory of contrastive rhetoric to make a comparative study of reporting verbs in English and Chinese scientific and technological articles from the aspects of distribution and types.The results show that English authors use more textual verbs,while Chinese authors use more mental verbs.English authors tend to use positive verbs and negative verbs,while Chinese authors tend to use neutral verbs.At last,some translation strategies of reporting verbs have been summarized from this comparative analysis.
