Study on Market Supply and Demand and Sustainable Development of China’s Higher Continuing Education

从社会层面看,产业结构调整、消费结构变化、城镇化建设和老龄化社会发展等对高等继续教育具有巨大的现实需求;从个体层面看,高等继续教育是人们保持已有竞争优势、追求更好发展机会和实现自我的重要途经。然而,我国高等继续教育在匹配供给结构与市场需求、保证供给质量与效益等方面存在一定的问题。为促进高等继续教育的可持续发展,我国应从“满足市场”和“提升质量”等角度准确定位和保障发展。

It is obvious that from the perspective of society, the adjustment of industrial structure,change of consumption structure, urbanization construction and the development of aging society have a huge realistic demand for higher continuing education. From the individual level, higher continuing education is an important way for people to maintain their existing competitive advantages, pursue better development opportunities and realize themselves. However, it seems that China’s higher continuing education may have some problems in matching supply structure with market demand so as to ensure supply quality and benefit. In order to promote the sustainable development of higher continuing education, it is important for our country to accurately position and guarantee the development from the perspectives of satisfying the market and improving the quality.
