At a symposium with leading experts on economic and social studies on August 24,2020,Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that after the completion of China’s first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects,the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021-2015)was the first five years in which China would build on this achievement to embark on a new journey toward the second centenary goal of fully building a great modern socialist country that is prosperous,strong,democratic,culturally advanced,harmonious.
