Land desertification is one of the major environmental problems facing the world today.Among the many features to prevent wind and fix sand,the straw checkerboard sand barrier is one of the most basic methods.It increases the surface roughness by physical means,slow down the wind speed,prevents the flow expansion of sand dunes,and plays a certain role in soil improvement.Nowadays,mechanized sand control has become a development trend.Under the predecessors continuous research and experiment,great progress has been made in mechanized straw checkerboard sandbarrier laying robots,with the causes of desertification,current desertification control measures,grass grid sand control principle,grass grid sand control method review stated,the mechanized grass grid laying development status and technical difficulties analyzed through examples and discussion and prospects of the development ofmechanize grass grid laying conducted.
