摘要
对当下医学院校的公共英语演讲课程做出了三点调整:一是将公共英语演讲课程的定位从跨文化交际类通识课逐渐过渡到专门用途英语课。二是在教学内容的选择上凸显医学学科特色;提升对思辨能力的系统性认识;增加对说理演讲的学习,达到专业、技能、思辨的深度融合。三是在教学模式上,采用线上线下混合式教学。通过上述方法并举,力求使医学院校开设的公共英语演讲课程为医学生的专业学习和思辨能力发展服务,并为其今后从事科学研究、进行学术交流奠定基础。
This study makes three adjustments to the current English Public Speaking(EPS)course in medical universities.(1)to gradually transfer EPS from a general course of cross-cultural communication to an English course for specific/academic purpose.(2)to focus on the medical features in the selection of teaching content;to learn critical thinking systematically;to emphasize more on persuasive speech learning.By doing so,students are expected to integrate professional knowledge with speaking techniques and critical thinking skills.(3)to adopt online and offline mixed teaching model.By using the methods above,this research attempts to make the English Public Speaking courses offered by medical universities serve medical students’professional development and the improvement of critical thinking,thus laying the foundation for their future scientific research and academic exchanges.
