摘要
作为中国第一部志人小说,《世说新语》善于以象比人、以形传神。在魏晋玄学“言意之辨”与“形神之鉴”的语境下,它不再将人物置于功利视角加以剖析品评,而是既注重立象尽意的诗性表达,又注重以形传神的画意营造,以充满诗性画感的美学笔触达到以玄韵为宗的审美境界,开创了世说体写人风范。
As China’s first novel on people,A New Account of Tales of the World does well in comparing people with Xiang and showing the spirit through depicting.Influenced by the metaphysics of Wei and Jin dynasties,the novel refuses to analyze and evaluate figures from the perspective of utilitarianism;instead,it emphasizes on the poetics expression called“establishing Xiang to fully express idea”,as well as the painterly creation named“showing the spirit through depicting the form”.Reaching the aesthetic realm based on mysterious charm through poetic and painterly narration,the novel starts the“Shishuo”style of depicting figures.
