With the continuous development and innovation of modern science and technology,GPS technology has achieved good application results in many fields,which has effectively improved the accuracy of engineering surveying and mapping,and further promoted the improvement of engineering construction quality.This paper firstly analyzes the application principle of GPS surveying technology,then explores the content of geological surveying and mapping,and discusses the specific application of GPS surveying and mapping technology in engineering surveying and mapping,and finally studies the development prospect of GPS technology in engineering surveying for reference.
