贵港市居民对维生素类产品的认知与使用情况

Awareness and usage of vitamin products in Guigang residents

目的调查贵港市居民对维生素类产品的认知与使用情况。方法采用自主设计的问卷对313名贵港市居民维生素类产品的使用情况和认知情况进行调查。分析居民了解的维生素类产品分类情况、导致维生素缺乏的原因、对大量补充维生素类产品的态度、促使居民购买和使用维生素类产品的因素、居民对维生素类产品与药品合用的态度,比较不同人口学特征居民对维生素相关知识认知的差异。结果人们使用维生素类产品较普遍,超过一半人使用过相关产品。居民了解最多的维生素类产品是食品(59.42%)、药品(57.19%)和保健品(53.04%);居民认为导致维生素缺乏最主要的原因是不良生活习惯(58.47%)和身患疾病(52.72%);大部分人(64.54%)认为应当遵医嘱或按产品说明书适量补充维生素类产品;大多数人是在感觉身体缺乏维生素的情况下自行购买维生素类产品服用(52.40%)或通过医生开处方或建议下使用(48.56%);对于“维生素类产品与药品是否可以合用”,大多数人(59.74%)认为在医生建议或按说明书指导的情况下可以合用。不同性别居民对维生素补充量的认知差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),而不同性别居民对其他维生素基本知识的认知差异,以及维生素的作用、缺乏症状、中毒(过量)症状、补充途径等相关知识的得分差异均无统计学意义(均P>0.05);不同年龄、学历、职业居民对维生素基本知识的认知差异,对维生素的作用、中毒(过量)症状、补充途径的得分差异和不清楚率差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论居民在日常生活中使用维生素类产品较普遍,但对维生素类产品相关知识的认知率较低,今后应加强健康常识科普宣传工作和有关医药工作人员的专业培训,以提高居民对维生素类产品的认知,促进社会健康水平的提高。

Objective To investigate the awareness and usage of vitamin products in Guigang residents.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was applied to a survey on the usage and awareness of vitamin products among 313 Guigang residents.An analysis was performed among the residents for the categories of vitamin products which they were aware of,the causes leading to vitamin deficiency,the attitude towards massive supplementation of vitamin products,the factors which facilitated residents to buy and use vitamin products,and residents′attitude towards the combined use of vitamin products and medicines.The differences in the awareness of vitamin-related knowledge between residents with different demographic characteristics were compared.Results Vitamin products were widely used in the residents,and more than half of the residents had used related products.The vitamin products which residents knew the most were foods(59.42%),medicines(57.19%)and health care products(53.04%);residents believed the most common causes leading to vitamin deficiency included bad living habits(58.47%)and suffering from diseases(52.72%);the majority(64.54%)considered moderate supplementation of vitamin products in accordance with physician′s order or the product specification necessary;most residents bought and took vitamin products voluntarily when they felt themselves deficient in vitamins(52.40%),or used vitamin products in line with physician′s prescription or advice(48.56%);as for the issue"whether vitamin products could be used with medicines",most residents(59.74%)considered it feasible in accordance with physician′s prescription or the product specification.There was statistically significant difference in the awareness of the vitamin supplements dose between male and female residents(P<0.05),whereas there was no statistically significant difference between male and female residents in the awareness of other basic knowledge about vitamins,or the scores for related knowledge,including vitamin efficacy,vitamin deficiency symptoms,toxic/overdose symptoms,and vitamin supplementation approaches(all P>0.05);there were statistically significant differences in the awareness of basic knowledge about vitamins,the scores for vitamin efficacy,toxic/overdose symptoms,and vitamin supplementation approaches,and the ratio of the number of the respondents choosing the answer of"unclear"to the number of all respondents between residents in different age groups,or with different educational levels or occupations(all P<0.05).Conclusion It is common for residents to use vitamin products in daily life,but their awareness of vitamin products-related knowledge is not well.In future,it is necessary to strengthen the popularization of science about health knowledge and the professional training on relevant medical staff,thus raising residents′awareness of vitamin products and promoting the improvement of social health.
