摘要
马来西亚华文独立中学在1961年创建之初确立了"传承中华文化"的办学使命。针对这一特殊的文化现象,采用质性研究的案例研究法,以身份认同为理论视角,通过对25位校长和行政主任的访谈,旨在了解华文独立中学传承中华文化的现状及原因。研究发现,传承中华文化在当下依旧是华文独立中学的使命自觉,但存在代际和区域差异。民族尊严的自觉维护、文化寻根的心理需求、学校办学的特色彰显、华教先辈的榜样引领是华文独立中学注重传承中华文化的主要原因。海外的华文学校在保持文化自信的同时,还需要强化师生传承中华文化的意识。不同国家的华人在传承中华文化时有各自的心理需求,对这些心理需求的准确分析是更好推动中华文化海外传播的基础。
Malaysian independent Chinese secondary schools are exemplary in fostering Chinese cultural identity among new generations of oversea Chinese.The article adopts qualitative case study and conducted interview with 25 principals and middle-level administrators from 14 Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary Schools,and found that passing on traditional Chinese culture remains a core mission for independent Chinese secondary schools at present.Under the background of long-term repression,Malaysian Chinese have developed psychological needs to maintain ethnic dignity and retrieve cultural origin.They highlight their educational characteristics through the unique educational value of Chinese culture.The example of Chinese education ancestors is the main reason for Chinese independent secondary schools to pay attention to inheriting Chinese culture.Therefore,the oversea Chinese schools needs to strengthen the awareness of inheriting the Chinese culture in order to gain the cultural confidence.The local Chinese people have their own psychological needs for inheriting the Chinese culture,the analysis of those needs are the basis for dissemination of Chinese culture overseas.
