The application and optimization of the hydrogen peroxide desulfurization technology in the tail gas treatment of the sulphuric acid plant of Zijin Copper Co., Ltd. are introduced. By comparing the currently commonly used desulfurization processes, the company adopts the hydrogen peroxide desulfurization process to treat the tail gas of the 1 200 kt/a sulphuric acid plant in combination with the actual production. The process was evaluated from the aspects of process applicability, production cost analysis, resource recycling, and production cleanliness, the control procedures, addition points and storage methods for adding hydrogen peroxide were optimized, and the results were good, which provided a new direction for more smelting enterprises to improve their essential environmental protection level.
