一、古今“中国”之为“中国”的文明普遍性(一)中国革命具有的普遍性意义毛泽东的《为人民服务》开宗明义讲到我们共产党的革命队伍的宗旨是为人民服务、是为解放人民的,他说:“我们的共产党和共产党所领导的八路军、新四军,是革命的队伍。我们这个队伍完全是为着解放人民的,是彻底地为人民的利益工作的。”又饱含感情地说到共产党人解救中国人民的责任以及我们为人民而死的神圣意义,他说:“中国人民正在受难,我们有责任解救他们,我们要努力奋斗。要奋斗就会有牺牲,死人的事是经常发生的。但是我们想到人民的利益,想到大多数人民的痛苦,我们为人民而死,就是死得其所。不过,我们应当尽量地减少那些不必要的牺牲。我们的干部要关心每一个战士,一切革命队伍的人都要互相关心,互相爱护,互相帮助。”.

The Civilizational Universality of China through History[19] e Universal Signi cance of the Chinese Revolution Mao Zedong’s“Serve the People”[为人民服务]begins by proclaiming:“Our Communist Party and the Eighth Route and New Fourth Armies led by our Party are battalions of the revolution.ese battalions of ours are wholly dedicated to the liberation of the people and work entirely in the people’s interests.”Mao moved on to discuss,full of emotion,the duty of the Communists to save the Chinese people and the sacred meaning of dying for them.50Like the Analects two thousandve hundred years ago,“Serve the People”is a mundane yet sacred daily discourse,which best illustrates the universality of the Chinese revolution.As part of the modern world revolution,the Chinese revolution has the universal signicance of revolution,that is,the universal signicance of world revolution.In addition,with the thousands of years of Chinese civilization and the characteristics of China’s modern history,the Chinese revolution has the revolutionary qualities that make modern China what it is today.
