The language input and output may be influenced owing to the specialized features of business English vocabulary which compared with General English for Chinese learners.The author explores the lexical chunk theory which offers us a new perspective to business English vocabulary acquisition.The thesis introduces the features of business English vocabulary,probes the definition,classification,and characteristics of lexical chunks,and expounds the advantages of the lexical chunk theory which gives enlightenments on business English vocabulary acquisition.It is found that lexical chunks can arouse the learners’interest in memorizing vocabulary and improve the capacity of language input and output.In brief,the lexical chunk theory is not only feasible but also beneficial in business English vocabulary acquisition.
