The article“NASH limits anti-tumour surveillance in immunotherapy-treated HCC”,recently published in Nature,reported that immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)are ineffective against non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in NASH-HCC mouse model(1).Normally,CD8^(+)T cells are activated by the recognition of antigens presented on major histocompatibility complex(MHC)class I molecules.
