摘要
阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer’s disease,AD)是最常见的进行性神经退行性疾病,其特征是神经元丢失和认知功能障碍,该疾病严重影响老年人的生活,因此,探索AD的治疗具有重要的社会意义。丹酚酸B(salvianolic acid B,SAB)是源自丹参的主要水溶性活性天然化合物,对神经退行性疾病具有预防和治疗作用。体外和体内研究表明,SAB对AD具有改善作用。该研究旨在回顾SAB对AD治疗的实验研究,并阐述总结SAB对AD治疗的潜在分子机制,以期对后续研究起指导作用。
Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized byneuronal loss and cognitive impairment that harshly affect the elderly individuals.There are several hypotheses for the neurodegeneration process in AD.Salvianolic acid B(SAB)is the main water-soluble active ingredient of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge,which performs prophylactic and therapeutic activities against neurodegenerative diseases.Multiple lines of studies have shown that SAB displays ameliorative benefits in AD in several in vitro and in vivo studies.This study aims at reviewing experimental studies and describing the possible underlying molecular mechanisms by which SAB protects against AD.It is expected that this work may open the window to speed up the development of innovative anti-AD drugs originated from SAB and improve upcoming AD therapeutics.
