唐代传奇骈化及其原因探析

The Parallel Style of the Tang Legend and the Motivation of it

唐代传奇具有“骈散相间”的语体特征,在古代“文备众体”说以及西方文学体裁分类的影响下,相关研究一般囿于文体交互的角度。将唐代传奇中夹带的骈文文体排除后,对其语体重作历时梳理,可知唐代传奇的骈化程度总体递增,至晚唐达到巅峰。其骈语表达形式的特征,大致经历了说明性、文艺性、表达技法固化的文艺性语体三个阶段。唐人传奇语体骈化的直接动因,其一是功能意图从垂诫变为娱乐,其二是传介方式从口述-记录变为个人创作。在中国传统“骈散之分”的体裁分类与批评语境下看,骈化现象是唐人传奇与史传逐渐分化的重要指标。此外,灵活运用骈散体与语境的相对关系,以此制造特殊的表达效果,也赋予了唐代传奇独特的审美价值。

Tang legend with"A mixture of parallel prose and prose"style is the academic community of consensus,but there is no further research about style because the"poem"and other parallel prose in the Tang legend have received too much attention,which leads to the cognition and discussion of the style.In this paper,we have made a distinction on the“parallel legend"and"parallel prose in the legend”to re-examine the style of the Tang legend.By the time of combing,the degree of the parallel style is increasing to the peak of the late Tang Dynasty.From the synchronic level,the characteristic system of verbal expression can be integrated into three stages:illustrative style,literary style,literary style which has a fixed skill.Combining the social and historical background,there are two types of Motivation:the functional intention from the admonition to entertain(from utilitarianism to aestheticism),the way of communication from the oral record to personal creation.According to the traditional Chinese genre classification and criticism of the context,the prose is used in the history while the parallel prose is used in the literature.That the style of Tang legend changed from prose to parallel prose is an important symbol of the change of stylistic nature,the literatures named"Tang legend"in the history of the novel are different from each other as well.In addition,how to use the relative relationship between the parallel prose and the Tang legend to create a special expression effect needs further exploration.
