Converging of Gongyang’s Commentary on The Spring and Autumn Annals by Dong Zhongshu and the Theory of The Book of Changes

As a great master of Gongyang’s Commentary on The Spring and Autumn Annals,Dong Zhongshu interpreted The Spring and Autumn Annals from the perspective of the theory about heaven and man,which reflected the exact details of the theory of heaven and man in The Spring and Autumn Annals,realized the converging of Gongyang’s Commentary on The Spring and Autumn Annals in which the invisible way of heaven and man from the visible way of the world could be inferred and the theory of The Book of Changes in which the visible way of the world to the invisible way of heaven and man could be inferred,opened up the kingly way of uniting heaven,earth and man,marked the life consciousness of man in line with heaven and earth,revealed that the king considered developing human nature as his important task and edifying the world with humanity as his kingly vision,reconstructed the way of benevolence and righteousness,and finally established the model form and the basic spirit of Confucian classics in the Han Dynasty with Gongyang’s Commentary on The Spring and Autumn Annals.
