The internet of vehicles is the product of the deep integration of the automobile industry and the new generation information technology,which plays an important role in traffic safety,traffic jam,traffic information service and so on,and provides powerful technical support for the construction of Smart City.This paper provides an overview of the typical scenarios and architecture of internet of vehicles,analyzes the important role of internet of vehicles in the development of Smart City,and proves that the application of internet of vehicles will greatly promote the development of Smart City.
