Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is a neuropsychiatric disorder that seriously damages the quality of human life.It is known that neurotransmitter related genes such as 5-hydroxytryptamine transporter(5-HTT),solute carrier family 1 member 1(SCL1A1),monoamine oxidase gene(MAO)and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)are involved in the occurrence and development of OCD.Environmental evidence related to OCD includes childhood trauma, stressful life events and other factors. But the etiology and pathogenesis of OCD have not been fully clarified.Gene-environment(GxE)interaction refers to the changes of genes in response to environmental changes, which results in differences in expression.GxE interaction has been used in studies of many neuropsychiatric disorders including OCD.This paper reviews the research progress of the interaction between neurotransmitter related gene and environment on OCD,aiming to provide evidence for the etiology research and treatment direction of OCD.
