In an interview with Professor Lu Shaoyang,Xie Fei,the“fourth generation”director,reviewed,combed and discussed the intergenerational characteristics,artistic expression,ideological depth,artistic value and cultural inheritance of the works of China’s“fourth generation”directors.In the new era,the brilliance of China’s new films is jointly created by the third generation,“the fourth generation”and“the fifth generation”directors.The“fourth generation”directors have accumulated rich experience in cultural and artistic exploration and theme creation,contributing to a large number of excellent works.Compared with the work of other generations of directors,films of the“fourth generation”are more stable,dialectical and comprehensive in showing the style of the times and social changes.
