The Resolution on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century considered and adopted by the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19^(th) Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(the CPC)provides authoritative documents for the correct construction of historical cognition.A complete history of the century struggle of the CPC has laid the foundation for us to correctly construct historical cognition,and pointed out the direction for the whole society to form a consensus on historical cognition.What kind of nation is the Chinese nation,what kind of political party is the CPC,what great achievements have the CPC united and led the people to accomplish,and what kind of contribution has China made to the world?All of these have constituted the important content of our historical cognition.It is a knowledge system for understanding the unity and leadership of the CPC in the century struggle of the Chinese people.Historical cognition is an important basis for historical confidence.Historical cognition constitutes the collective memory of history and is the common wealth of the whole society,which must be cherished and strengthened.The significance of the construction of historical cognition is to consolidate historical memory,the value of which is to provide historical explanation for the struggle in reality.The enhancement of historical confidence depends on the correct construction of historical cognition.The stronger the foundation of historical cognition,the greater the historical confidence will be.Stepping into a new journey and making contributions to a new era,we must strengthen historical confidence based on correct historical cognition.
