湖北荆州任家冢等墓地战国墓葬发掘简报

Brief Report on Excavation of the Warring States Tombs in Jingzhou,Hubei Province

为配合318国道荆州段改扩建工程,荆州博物馆对工程选址范围内勘探发现的古墓葬进行了考古发掘,在任家冢墓地、朱家草场墓地、无名冢墓地共清理战国墓葬31座,出土遗物丰富,对了解战国时期楚纪南故城周边墓葬选址、埋葬方式、随葬器物组合、居民丧葬习俗等提供了丰富的实物资料。通过对任家冢M2的发掘,可以了解到当地筑土成台以修建墓地这一习俗最迟在战国晚期已经出现,并延续至秦汉时期或更晚。

The Jingzhou Museum carried out excavations of the tombs discovered within a construction zone,which was part of the National Highway 318(G318) expansion project,in Jingzhou City of Hubei Province.A total of 31 tombs of the Warring States period were cleaned up,including tombs at the Renjiazhong and Zhujiacaochang cemeteries as well as those of nameless mounds.The unearthed material remains are abundant and could serve as important sources for studying the tomb distribution around Jinan—the capital of the Chu state—during the Warring State period,burial practice,artifactual assemblages,and funeral customs.The excavation of M2 at the Renjiazhong cemetery suggest that people constructed cemeteries on man-made platforms no later than the late Warring States period,a practice that continued into the Qin-Han times(and even later).
