On Collectors of Writing Manuals and Academic Dialogues in Notes of the Song Dynasty

宋代笔记以博载群书极富学术价值著称,其中收录了许多书画文献以及围绕这些文献发生的文化交流。除笔记作者注意收集书帖文献外,他们交往的士人也有类似的兴趣爱好,从而形成了三种不同类型的收藏群体。这些收藏者围绕书帖的书法类型、文献内容和艺术价值等信息所展开的学术对话,既展现了宋代学术的共性,又显现出艺术研究的不同。

Notes of the Song Dynasty are famous for their academic value in its abundant collections,which include many documents on calligraphy and painting,and cultural exchanges around these documents.In addition to the note writers paying attention to existing collections of writing manuals and other documents,the scholars they interacted with also had similar interests and hobbies,thus forming three different types of collecting groups.The academic dialogues between these collectors centred on calligraphic types,document content,and the manuals’inherent artistic value,thus bringing to light not only commonalities of Song Dynasty academics but also differences in artistic research.
