The spiritual dimension of Confucianism stresses the importance of the root of life ethical meaning,and at the same time,it cares for the inner spiritual state of the moral subject,which constitutes the foundation of the moral practice of learning to be human and learning to be moral.The core concept of the spiritual dimension of Confucianism is benevolence,which has two fundamental meanings,namely,the love of people in the sense of moral feeling and the opinion that benevolence is the morality to safeguard all human beings in the sense of metaphysics.The spiritual dimension of Confucianism is closely connected with the traditional study of mind and the moral reason of Confucianism,and if the latter can be effectively transformed and experience innovative development,it can provide important enlightenment to the moral education practice of the modern ideological and political course.
