In response to the urgent upgrading of coal mining machine technology in the field of coal equipment and its related patent application needs, China has become the world’s largest patent application site, but there are problems of low patent quality, imperfect overall layout of patent technology and low level of intelligent equipment. Through statistical analysis of the data on the trend of patent applications, patent application volume, major applicants and important technology fields in the domestic coal mining machine field, the current technological status and development trend of China’s coal mining machine field are discussed, providing patent information and technical support for domestic coal mining machine enterprises and research institutes, and providing reference and suggestions for them to determine the research and development direction.
