Methodological orientation of Chinese film geo-cultural research

在研究方法上中国电影的地缘文化研究更侧重于对地理因素与文化、历史、社会因素的相互整合,并在空间视域上注重对于中国电影不同地缘文化区域的划分,强调地理因素在电影艺术创作与产业发展中的特定作用。与此同时,强调电影的历史发展包括着地理与文化的因素,这就是说,电影的发展离不开地理环境的影响与制约。电影的地缘文化特征是指基于非虚构的地理因素与文化传统在电影中反复呈现的标志性、恒常性的艺术表现形态,其中包括不断重复的叙事主题,相互类似的人物性格及不断出现的自然景观。

In terms of research methods,the geo-cultural research of Chinese film focuses more on the integration of geographical factors and cultural,historical and social factors,and pays attention to the division of different geo-cultural regions of Chinese films in the perspective of space,which emphasizes the specific role of geographical factors in the creation of film art and film industrial development. At the same time,it emphasizes that the historical development of film contains geographical and cultural factors,that is to say,the development of film cannot be separated from the influence and restriction of geographical environment. The geo-cultural characteristics of a film refer to the iconic and constant artistic expression that is repeatedly presented in the film based on non-fictional geographical factors and cultural traditions,including repeated narrative themes,similar characters and frequently recurring natural landscapes.
