Mr.Su Donghai initially established the thoughts of historical materialism and dialectical materialism when he was a student.After he transferred from the army to the Central Revolution Museum,he not only adapted the role of museum professional,but also greatly improved the cognition of objects in museum.It laid a solid foundation for his museology thought with "museum objects as the core" through the museum practice including exhibition of objects,historical research of material evidence and collection.The editor in chief of Chinese Museum,the tracking research on museum phenomena and trends at home and abroad,and the systematic thinking on museums have made him a theoretical banner of Chinese museology.The exploration of ecomuseum and cultural theory of museum,as well as the thinking and appeal for the protection and utilization of cultural heritage,make him a museum thinker integrating theory and practice.It also goes beyond the museum and museum objects,and integrates its own thought and practice in the social development.
