Even military aircraft are expected to last longer before they are retired.In face of changes in economic,institutional,technological and management factors,it is difficult and challenging to effectively manage and control related risks for an aircraft platform that has exceeded its initial decommissioning life but still maintains its working capacity.Many military and civilian product procurement and modification plans will stall because of the interference of these problems and factors.Some of the key factors,the relevant risks and their relationship that must be considered in an aircraft life extension plan are mainly discussed,and the content related to previously adopted regulations and standards are also discussed.
