阶级分异和城市空间政治型塑的互动关联——再读《英国工人阶级状况》与《论住宅问题》

Interaction Between Class Differentiation and Urban Space Polit ics Shaping:"Re-reading"The Condition of the Working Class in England and The Housing Question

随着资本主义城市化急速扩张,城市空间作为阶级对立、冲突的“交往实践场”角色更为凸显。一些国外左翼学者将地理学空间视角与马克思主义结合起来分析城市问题时,重点关注过恩格斯的两篇相关经典文献即《英国工人阶级状况》和《论住宅问题》并重新解读。这种“新的解读”很好地呈现了城市阶级分异和空间政治的互动关联。从《英国工人阶级状况》到《论住宅问题》实际上蕴含着历史唯物主义形成、演进的内在逻辑,也代表着马克思主义对城市空间政治、阶级问题认识的深化。当代左翼空间政治理论对这一点恰恰重视不够,这需要超越它对两个文本进行“再解读”。这种双重性的“再读”,可以为新时代全面建设社会主义现代化国家中日益深化的城市化进程实现空间正义提供一定的借鉴和反思。

With the rapid expansion of capitalist urbanization,the role of urban space as a"communication practice field"for class antagonism and conflict has become more prominent.When analyzing urban problems,some foreign left-wing scholars have combined the spatial perspective of geography with Marxism,focused on and re-read Engels'two related classic works of The Condition of the Working Class in England and The Housing Question.This"new interpretation"has well presented the interactive relationship between urban class differentiation and space politics.From The Condition of the Working Class in England to The Housing Question,the two works actually embody the internal logic of the formation and evolution of historical materialism,and also represent the increasing understanding of Marxism on urban space politics and class issues.The contemporary left-wing space politics theory does not pay enough attention to this point,so it's necessary to re-read the two texts beyond it.This dual"re-reading"can provide certain reference for and reflection on the realization of space justice in the process of deepening urbanization in fully building a modern socialist country in the new era.
