桃花社成立于贾府危机四伏的时刻,是由贾府繁荣时期兴盛的海棠诗社重组而成,意取桃花娇美与悲情双重含义,与其背后代表的理想世界的美好与短暂相对应。同时,在红楼梦中的理想世界已成崩塌之势时,重结桃花社在其表面对诗文结社的喜爱之下,更隐含对大观园理想世界的追求和女儿们的精神抗争。

Taohuashe was established at the time of Jia Fu’s crisis. It was reorganized from the Haitang Poetry Society, which flourished during the prosperity of Jia Fu. It intended to take the double meaning of beauty and pathos of peach blossoms, which corresponded to the beauty and shortness of the ideal world represented by it. At the same time, when the ideal world in the Dream of Red Mansions was bound to collapse, the re-establishment of the Taohuashe, with the guise of its love for poetry, stood for the pursuit of the ideal world of the Grand View Garden and the spiritual struggle of the girls in it.
