On the Teaching Reform of Public English in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of Modern Vocational Education

在新时代职业教育高质量发展背景下,高职公共英语的教学改革也要与时俱进,促进英语课堂教学的创新,激发学生学习热情、提升学生学习效果、培养学生终生学习能力。高职院校培养的是高素质技术技能型人才,教师不仅提升自身专业知识,还要关注教材建设、教学模式、双师素养、信息技术应用、教学评价、以赛促教等,教学中融入职业技能,增强学生国家认同和文化自信,培养一专多能全面发展的社会主义建设者。

Under the background of the high-quality development of vocational education in the new era,the teaching reform of public English in vocational colleges should keep pace with the times.It’s essential for teachers to promote the innovation of English classroom teaching,ignite students’learning enthusiasm,improve students’learning effect,and cultivate their independent learning ability and lifelong learning ability.Higher vocational colleges aim to train high-quality technical skilled talents.Teachers are supposed not only to enlarge their professional knowledge,but also to pay attention to textbook construction,teaching mode,“dual teachers”quality,information technology application,teaching assessment and vocational competitions,so as to integrate the vocational skills into teaching,strengthen students’national identity and cultural self-confidence,and develop the comprehensive development of socialist builders and successors.
