The Digital View of World Modernization

通过定量分析方法,从经济、社会、政治、文化、环境和个人生活六个方面,对20世纪60年代以来的世界现代化进程进行时序分析、截面分析和过程分析,可以描绘出近六十年来世界现代化的数字图景。20世纪60年代以来,世界现代化的前沿已经从工业文明向知识文明转变,以知识经济和知识社会为导向,以生活质量为中心,主要特点包括:经济知识化、信息化和绿色化,知识产业比例上升,工业比例下降;社会智能化和休闲化,普及高等教育;政治民主化和网络化;文化信息化和产业化;生态环境改善和国际移民增多;生活消费模式以质量型和发展型为主导等。

Modernization is not only a world phenomenon,but also a progress of civilization and a goal of development,and the frontier of human development and the behavior and process of catching up,reaching and keeping the frontier level of the world.Based on the previous study about the World Modernization Indicator System,this paper mainly focuses on the quantitative analysis of world modernization process from economy,society,politics,culture,environment and personal life by the time series analysis,cross-section analysis and process analysis,aiming to depict the digital picuture of the world modernization in the last 60 years and find the basic laws of world modernization.Since 1960s,the frontier of world modernization has changed from industrial civilization to knowledge civilization,with knowledge economy and knowledge society as the guideline and quality of life as the center.The main features of this period include:(1)knowledgenizing,informationizing and greenization of the economy,the rising of the proportion og knowledge industry and the falling proportion of the traditional industry;(2)intelligentizing and leisuring of society,popularizing of higher education;(3)democratizing and networking of politics;(4)informatizing and industrializing of culture;(5)improving of the eco-environment and increasing of the international migration;(6)the consumption pattern is dominated by quality and development.
