Criticism and self-criticism is one of the fine styles of the Communist Party of China. It is the driving force to promote the unity and progress of the Party and a powerful weapon for self-defense and the remedy for problems. Zhou Enlai attached great importance to inner-Party criticism and self-criticism and made outstanding contributions to the cultivation and construction of the style of criticism and self-criticism of the CPC. He systematically and profoundly expounded the theory of the Party’s style of criticism and self-criticism. In his work, he creatively used criticism and self-criticism to solve inner-party disputes and other problems. He led by example and became a prominent model for practicing the style of criticism and self-criticism of the CPC.
