Pu Songling and Han Family in Zichuan

蒲松龄在淄川西铺坐馆授徒期间,与“淄邑大族”韩氏子孙交往颇多,但流传至今的史料少有记载,主要有以下四则:蒲松龄与韩冲当有交往,韩冲去世后,蒲松龄撰写祭文、挽联,深切悼念;《犬灯》记述狐女深夜勾引韩茂椿家仆人,被韩茂椿设计驱逐的传奇故事;明末韩敬止带领乡兵保卫淄川县城,蒲松龄代淄川乡绅撰文,举荐其入淄川乡贤祠;蒲瑞欲与韩维垣结为儿女亲家,蒲松龄代其回函韩维垣,允准婚事。

During Pu Songling's apprenticeship in Xipu,Zichuan,he had a lot of contacts with the Han family,the“big family of Ziyi”,but there are few historical records that have been passed down to this day.There are mainly the following four:After Han Chong’s death,Pu Songling wrote sacrificial articles and elegiac couplets to mourn deeply,so Pu Songling should have contacts with Han Chong;Dog Lantern describes the legendary story of a female fox who seduced Han Maochun's servant in the middle of the night and was expelled by Han Maochun using strategies;in the late Ming Dynasty,Han Jingzhi led the local soldiers to defend Zichuan county town,and Pu Songling wrote an article on behalf of the squire of Zichuan recommending Han Jingzhi to enter Zichuan Country Sages Temple;Pu Rui wanted his child to be married to Han Weiyuan's child,and Pu Songling wrote back to Han Weiyuan on his behalf,agreeing to the marriage.
