论《聊斋志异·莲香》陈明德马来文译本的偏离

On Deviation of Tan Bengteck's Malay Translation of Lian Xiang in Liaozhai Zhiyi

本文简单梳理《聊斋志异》在新马、印尼等地的翻译情况,细析《聊斋志异》中的《莲香》陈明德马来文译本中的偏离现象,分别为人物塑造的偏离、地名文化内涵的缺失、古代女性绣履文化内涵的缺失、鬼狐文化的缺失、中医药文化的偏离等。该故事里蕴含着博大精深的中华文化,不宜苛求非专职的土生华人译者能完整地传递到马来语世界里。本研究或可作为已有翻译的总结,或可作为未来翻译的参照,以促进中国文化更好地走出去。

This paper briefly combs the translation of Liaozhai Zhiyi in Singapore,Malaya,and Dutch East Indies,and analyzes the deviation phenomena in Tan Bengteck's Malay translation of Lian Xiang in Liaozhai Zhiyi,including the deviation of characterization,the missing of cultural connotation of place names,of cultural connotation of ancient women's embroidered shoes,and of ghost and fox culture,and the deviation of traditional Chinese medicine culture,etc.The story itself contains extensive and profound Chinese culture.It is not reasonable to expect that these part-time Peranakan Chinese translators could have fully conveyed it to the Malay World.This study could be a summary of existing translation or a reference for future translation,so as to promote Chinese culture to go global more.
