Professor LIU Xuewei has been engaged in clinical work for nearly 20 years. He has mastered solid theoretical knowledge, and has rich clinical experiences. He follows the classics of traditional Chinese medicine, and combines theory with practice in clinic. He pays attention to the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine, and treats diseases based on syndrome differentiation. The onset characteristics and clinical symptoms of herpes zoster are corresponding to herpes zoster in modern medicine. It can occur at any age,and usually occurs when the body’s immune system is weak. In this article, clinical experience of Professor LIU Xuewei in the diagnosis and treatment of herpes zoster from the aspects of deficiency, fire toxin, and stasis was introduced.
