The pathogenesis of melasma is complex,and it is difficult to cure as well as readily relapses.With the further study of melasma and the update of whitening cosmetics,this guide is comprehensively elaborates the mechanism and clinical application of whitening cosmetics in the treatment of melasma for directing the dermatologists in a scientific and normative way of selecting such cosmetics.
