Treatment strategy of chronic pharyngitis based on Si Sheng Xin Yuan

《四圣心源》以“一气周流,土枢四象”为主要中心理论,在此种认识下,黄元御认为咽喉是呼吸和阴阳升清降浊的必经通路,若中枢气机运转失常,阳衰土湿,肺胃不降,则气机闭塞,咽喉之病即成。故治疗上应利水燥土,以“清肺降胃,清热利咽”为总则。

The key idea of Si Sheng Xin Yuan is“cycle flow of one Qi,earth pivot four images”.Under this principle,Huang Yuanyu points out that pharynx and larynx is the the only way which must be passed of breathing and ascending clear Qi and descending turbidity.If the movement of middle Qi get Aberrant with Yang-Qi declined and earth becomeing wet,Qi of lung and stomach will not fall.The movement of vital energy also will be occlusive.It must case pharynx and larynx disease.Thus,on the treatment strategy,drying dampness and diuresis is the main methods.Ventilating lung and descendingthe stomach Qi and relieve sore throat is the general rules.
