The construction technology of a large span under-bearing steel tied arch bridge is introduced in the context of the construction of the superstructure of the main bridge over the Dazhi River on the Puxing Highway in Shanghai.The construction techniques of temporary bracing and the"beam before arch"method are summarized to accumulate experience for the subsequent construction of this type of bridge.
