Academic postgraduates are important innovation force of a country, so the cultivation of the innovation ability of academic postgraduates is of great significance to the improvement of a country’s long-term scientific and technological level. This paper discusses and analyzes some issues of academic postgraduate training, including the cultivation of the questioning spirit and critical thinking, the relationship between personality and innovation ability, the relationship between broad knowledge base and innovation ability, the relationship between interest and innovation ability, etc. Through the analysis of the above issues, it provides certain reference for the cultivation of academic postgraduates’ innovative ability.
