名字性别倾向的形成机制研究

Research on the Formation Mechanism of Name’s Gender Orientation

名字是传递性别信息的重要载体。在传统社会向现代社会转变过程中,名字性别倾向与个体性别倾向不一致的情况变得越来越突出,这种不一致性对传统性别观念造成冲击,也会影响个体的成长。名字性别倾向可划分为三种类型:正向名、反向名和中性名。实证研究发现,取“反向名”的家庭更追求名字的独特性,以此彰显子女与众不同,但“男名女用”与“女名男用”两种反向名取名之间存在显著的性别差异。此外,反向名的形成受命名者偏好、家庭变迁、观念转变与社会政策等因素影响,并存在城乡与区域差异。反向名对个体性格养成、人际交往和能力发展有暗示作用,且性别差异较明显。

The name is an important sign to convey gender information.In the process of the transition from traditional society to modern society,the inconsistency between the gender orientation of names and the individual gender orientation becomes more obvious.This inconsistency will impact traditional gender concepts and affect the growth of individuals.This article constructs three types of gender orientation in names:“forward names”,“reverse names”and“neutral names”.Based on empirical research,it is found that families with“reverse names”are seeking uniqueness to show their children’s excellence.However,there is a big gender difference between“male names for women”and“female names for men”.In addition,the formation of“reverse names”is affected by factors like the preference of the naming person,family changes and social policies,and changes in cultural concepts.There are also regional differences between urban and rural areas.Finally,“reverse names”have implications for individual character formation,interpersonal communication and ability development,and gender differences are obvious.
