在梅子箐钛铁砂矿地质勘查的基础上,通过收集资料,进行综合研究,参照相关地质勘查规范、工作指南及科研专著,对滇中武定地区风化壳型钛铁砂矿的勘查方法进行了总结与创新。总结与创新的成果可归纳为:同步进行地貌调查、地质调查、第四系调查三种调查,为合理设计探矿工程奠定基础;重点研究风化壳的风化指数、化学分析成果的数据处理、风化壳TiO_(2)富集系数三个问题,为矿体的评价提供关键指标。勘查方法的总结与创新,有助于"准、精、快、省"地勘查钛铁砂矿,对其他砂矿的资源评价也起到借鉴、示范作用。
