摘要
消费升级扩容是我国实现内部可循环,支撑并带动外循环的重要驱动力。基于中国家庭金融调查跟踪数据,从微观视角考察了消费需求数字化转型对居民消费升级的促进效应以及异质性。实证研究发现,网购经历在推动家庭消费增长的同时促进了消费升级,即降低了生存保障型消费占比,提高了发展享受型消费占比。对家庭的异质性分析发现,数字化转型具有包容性特征,对较低教育水平、处于农村以及中西部地区的家庭而言,消费升级的促进效应更为显著。研究结论为充分释放居民消费潜力,构建新发展格局的内需基础提供了经验证据。
Consumption upgrading and expansion are important driving forces for China to realize internal circulation as well as to support and drive external circulation.Based on the tracking data of China Household Finance Survey(CHFS),this paper examines the promotion effect of the digital transformation of consumer demand on the residents’ consumption upgrading from a micro perspective, and also distinguishes the heterogeneity.The empirical study finds that online shopping experience pushes the growth of household consumption and promotes consumption upgrading at the same time.That is, it reduces the proportion of survival guarantee consumption in the total household consumption, but increases the proportion of development enjoyment consumption.The heterogeneity analysis of households shows that digital transformation is inclusive.Specifically, the promotion effect of consumption upgrading is more significant for those households with lower education level and located in rural areas and Midwest regions.The conclusion of this study provides empirical evidence for fully releasing the potential of residents’ consumption and building the foundation of domestic demand for new development pattern.
