摘要
现代翻译研究认为,翻译就是对原文的一种重写。所有的翻译,无论其目的何在,都会反映某种意识形态和诗学观,进而以某种方式操纵特定社会的文学。诗歌翻译也是如此吗?本研究尝试运用现代翻译理论,以近现代著名学人兼译家马君武的译诗为研究对象,着眼于中国诗歌语言现代化转型和中国翻译诗学谱系特征,考察他在翻译中遵循的诗学规范以及做出的创格举措,并提出自己的反思意见。
Modern translation studies have it that translation is a rewriting of an original text.All rewritings,whatever their intention,reflect a certain ideology and a poetics and as such manipulate literature in a given society in a given way.Is it true in the domain of poetry translation?In light of the theories from modern translation studies,the present research makes a case study of Ma Junwu’s Chinese translations of western poems,oriented towards the modernization of Chinese poetic language and the hereditary characteristic of Chinese translational poetics.The study investigates how the translator made his own interpretative endeavours and represented the host cultural identity through transmitting certain poems,focusing on the strategies and norms adopted,the aesthetic effect achieved,and the cultural implications encoded in the receptor language and culture.Finally,some reflection and criticism are made by the author.
