赣州市博物馆藏慈云寺塔发现佛经残卷研究

A Study of the Incomplete Buddhist Sutras Discovered in the Pagoda of Ciyun Temple in Ganzhou

2004年,江西赣州慈云寺塔发现一批大致年代为五代十国至北宋初期的文物,包括四种佛经残卷。《慈云祥光:赣州慈云寺塔发现北宋遗物》一书对四种佛经残卷作了基本介绍,并刊布了部分图片。其中《四分戒本》写本残卷,是抄写于南汉大宝二年(959年)的道宣贞观二十一年(647年)删定本,已经得到明确。在取得所有图片的基础上,本文对另外三种佛经残卷作了重新缀合,力图复原其本来面貌。同时,通过与其他版本比对研究,可以发现《佛名经》写本残卷是一种与敦煌、七寺等十六卷本相近而略有不同的修订本,《妙法莲华经》刻本残卷是国内现存最早《法华经》刻本之一,《千佛名经》写本残卷则是国内现存唯一的三卷本《贤劫千佛名经》。慈云寺塔中发现的四种佛经残卷,具有十分重要的版本价值。

In 2004,a batch of cultural relics including four kinds of incomplete Buddhist sutras were discovered in the pagoda of Ciyun Temple in Ganzhou,Jiangxi Province,which can be dated to the Five dynasties and Ten Kingdoms and the early Northern Song dynasty.In the book Propitious Signs in Ciyun Temple:Northern Song Relics Discovered in the Pagoda of Ciyun Temple in Ganzhou,the four kinds of Buddhist scriptures are introduced and several pictures are published.Among them,it has been confirmed that Sifen Jieben[四分戒本]is an abridged version edited by Daoxuan in the 21 st year of Zhenguan era(647 A.D.),which was copied in the second year of Dabao reign(959 A.D.)in the Southern Han dynasty.On the basis of all the present pictures,the author re-combines the other three incomplete Buddhist sutras to strive to restore their original appearance.At the same time,through the comparative study of other editions,it is found that the incomplete Buddha Nama Sutra[佛名经]is a revised edition diferent from other sixteen-volumes version such as the Dunhuang and Nanatsu Dera versions.The block-printed edition of incomplete Saddharma Pundarika Sutra[妙法莲华经]is one of the earliest extant carving copies in China,and the incomplete hand-copied Bhadrakalpika Sutra[千佛名经]is the only extant three-volume version in China.These four kinds of incomplete Buddhist sutras found in the pagoda of Ciyun Temple are significant in the edition research.
